Most audiophiles know the advantage of coaxial speaker: to allow sound from two drivers (woofer & tweeter) to come from one point in space as how sound is produced naturally. But…. the problems with traditional coaxial loudspeakers are that the sound is radiated with increasingly stronger focus as frequency increases because of the acoustic horn effect, and that the high-end response is distorted due to the embedding of the tweeter unit in the acoustic horn.

Domephase speaker design addresses those problems with patented dome-shaped coaxial drivers, each comprising a tweeter unit and a low/mid-range unit with a cone diaphragm suspended in a loudspeaker basket. The cone diaphragm extrudes out of the speaker enclosure, a drastic departure in design from traditional coaxial drivers.  And the tweeter has its sound radiation surface directed away from this drive.
